Our trips are important in a teen’s journey to manhood because of the following outcomes:
Operational
Teen/Mentor teams experience a 3-day mule deer hunt in Northwest Colorado. By hunting in a State-designated Youth Area, shot opportunities and excitement are high! Base camp is located at a nearby State Park, where hot showers, heated wall tents and electricity ensure a comfortable stay. Mentors are allowed to hunt as well.
In Development
Teens and mentors are led on a 6-day wilderness canoeing adventure in and around Boundary Waters, Minnesota. Boundary Waters is a 1.2 million acre Wilderness Area along the U.S.-Canadian border. No man-made structures, roads, or motorized vehicles are allowed and wildlife is abundant. Some of the best fishing in the country is found here and with over 1,000 lakes connected by more than 1,500 miles of canoe routes, it truly is a canoeing paradise.
In Development
Participants can experience winter adventures such as snowmobiling, ice fishing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and dog sledding. They’ll also learn winter survival skills such as snow cave construction, fire starting, etc. Safety is paramount and activities are adjusted for weather conditions.
While our Summer and Winter trips are still in development, we’ve completed several fall deer hunting trips. Take a look at what happened on those exciting trips!
