2026 Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoeing Trips

Magnificent” is just one of many words to describe our 2026 Wilderness Canoe Trips! “Thrilling, Adventurous, Wild, and Deep” are others, as 36 hearty souls embarked on an adventure of the body, mind, and spirituality!

The young men learned many new skills – canoeing, fishing, navigation, firestarting, first aid, and fish cleaning. These newfound skills resulted in a visible increase in confidence that grew each day. They basked in sunshine and fought through torrential downpours on wind-torn lakes that tested them physically and mentally, discovering they were far stronger than they thought. A Primitive Weapons Making Contest developed their resourcefulness and ingenuity, and the calling of loons beneath star-filled skies filled them with wonder at God’s creation.

Most importantly, however, the young men learned much about Christian masculinity. In addition to our traditional Campfire Talks, each day on the water they engaged in Lakeside Talks. These discussions are an expansion on the Campfire Talks as well as exploring new topics:  pornography, baptism, the influences of social media, saving sex for marriage, etc. Our quiet invitation to baptize anyone who wanted to be baptized resulted in FIVE baptisms in the beauty of a wilderness lake! Finally, as on all our trips, the epic adventure concluded with each young man receiving an engraved knife and a personalized bible as the grown men prayed over them to become the man God created them to be.
