Upcoming Trip Information (2026/2027)

Thank you for your interest in your youth being part of an upcoming OMM Adventure! Below is the basic information for our upcoming Gator Hunts, Wilderness Canoeing, and Big Game Hunts through January, 2027!

We’ll accept applications online through our website from January 1st to March 15th, 2026. Our goal is to inform selectees for the May Gator Hunts by April 1st and selectees for the Canoeing and Big Game Hunts by April 15th. Applicants not selected for an upcoming trip will be placed on a standby list to be contacted in the event of a cancellation.

Gator Hunt (May 2026)

Operational

Thanks to the generosity of Gettin Grubb Outfitters, the young men will experience the thrills of gator and hog hunting! We’ll hunt gators and hogs on Saturday/Sunday; hunting techniques are TBD but will be the ones safely used by their paying clients.

Wilderness Canoeing (June 2026)

Operational

Participants arrive in Ely, MN, by noon on Saturday to begin the Base Camp Phase (Saturday/Sunday), where they’re housed in a modern bunkhouse with OMM staff. Base Camp Phase focuses on Skills Training, where they’ll learn critical skills (canoeing, fishing, navigation, first aid, fire starting, etc.).

Big Game Hunts (Oct 2026/Jan 2027)

Operational

Participants will arrive late morning at the Big R in Falcon, CO, to obtain licenses (we resource them through various outlets; participants are not responsible for acquiring their own license through Colorado Parks & Wildlife), then drive for 20 minutes to Base Camp at a hunting lodge.
