Thank you for your interest in adventuring with Of Mountains & Men! We’re passionate about the outdoors, talking openly about our love of the Lord and the values found in the Bible, and helping guide teens into Christian Manhood.
If you haven’t already read the details about our upcoming trips of wilderness canoeing, gator hunting, and big game hunting, please visit the trips page to determine which trip would be the best fit. By filling out this single application, you can indicate interest in more than one trip along with your priority of preference, but please know that we generally do not allow youth to participate in more than one trip. We want as many young men to experience our life-shaping trips as possible.
Please provide the following info to help us identify the right young men/mentors for our trips. The more information you provide, the better we can determine the right young men for the trips.

Does the youth have any significant medical issues? This includes prescription medications (including ant-depressants), heart/breathing issues, mobility issues, or any other factors that may impact them while on our wilderness adventures. While your answers may not necessarily disqualify the youth from participating, they’re essential in that we may not have close access to an emergency room. Please answer yes or no. If yes, please provide details.
Please describe the young man's home life. Does he have a father figure living in the home? If yes, how would you characterize their relationship? How is the young man's relationship with God? (The more information you provide, the easier it is for us to select the right young men.)
Why is it important that your young man experience one of our trips?
The role of the mentor is to be a companion for the youth, one in which the youth feels comfortable discussing Christian Manhood. Youth may either bring a mentor with them (i.e. father, relative, family friend) or a background-checked OMM mentor will be provided (these are men of strong Christian faith experienced in working with youth). Youth participating in our Big Game and Gator Hunts will have their own mentor on the trip. Due to group size restrictions for the Wilderness Canoeing trips, however, not every youth will be able to bring their own mentor. If your youth is selected for the canoe trip, you will be contacted regarding if the mentor listed on this application would be able to go or not).
