2026 Elk Hunts

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any better than our amazing 2025 Elk Hunts, when the boys downed 25 elk, we were ecstatic to be proven wrong – this year, the boys harvested 28 beautiful elk!

We conducted four hunts on consecutive weekends in January, each with about 7 boys, and each hunt had its own unique personality. Temperatures in the field ranged from near 60 degrees in sunshine to bone-chilling 17 degrees below windchill in near-whiteout conditions! Regardless of the weather, the boys demonstrated many traits of masculinity: courage, toughness, and grit. Perseverance, maturity, respect, and thanksgiving for the animal. We’re so proud of each and every one of them!

The nightly Campfire Talks were also our best ever! These nightly discussions about Christian Masculinity, based on the book ‘Wild At Heart’ by John Eldredge, are designed to help the boys begin to answer 4 questions nearly every man wrestles with as a teen:

1. What’s It Mean To Be A Man?

2. How Do I Become One?

3. What’s This Beautiful Creature Called A Woman All About?

4. How Do I Become Truly Alive?

And while we know the boys didn’t leave Elk Camp with all the answers, we planted seeds for them to consider and pray on.

The boys (and grown men) also learned a range of wilderness skills. Hands-on classes were given in Firebuilding, First Aid, Map Reading, Meat Processing, and Truck Ops (tire changing, jumpstarting, tire chain installation, and winching).

Amazing success!  Amazing blessings! God continues to fling open doors for this ministry as we Guide Teens Into Christian Manhood!
